Minecon is happening in London and some of the news is good stuff. From the comments on Youtube it seems that some of the fans are never fully satisfied.
Telltale announced its partnership with Mojang on a new Mincraft game last year. For some gamers the announcement was a blessing; mixing excellent story telling with the creative powerhouse Minecraft. The first trailer was released this weekend at Minecon London. I wouldn't really say that most of the feedback was positive.
You can see how the reaction to Story Mode is put into three groups. The first is the Minecraft fans who are disapointed with the game. Second is the Telltale fans that want a season 3 of the Walking Dead and nothing else.Third is the group I belong to - Just happy to have a new Telltale game mixed with Minecraft joy.
My thought about Minecraft is that this game is a starter game for my niece and daughter. Just like Super Mario lured me into the world of gaming, it has done that with them. Yet I want them to explore more and with this mixing of two styles of games I hope that they see a new side and venture out into more games.
